Who AM I?
I started in this trade not knowing which wire went where. Today, I’m helping the next generation of BAS techs gain the skills and confidence I wish I had starting out.
I’m Anthony, and I’ve worked in building automation since 2010.
I began my career pulling wire through ceilings and connecting controllers I barely understood. Long hours, countless questions (some admittedly dumb), and the guidance of skilled journeymen slowly taught me the ropes.
I remember begging my supervisor for a chance to program my first VAV controller—a Johnson Controls VMA 1610. At the time, it felt like a huge breakthrough, a moment that showed me how far I’d come. Looking back now, it was a small step, but it sparked my drive to keep learning.
Over the years, I’ve moved from wiring and terminating to writing custom code, configuring supervisory controllers, and managing complex projects. I’ve worked with countless product lines and spent more nights than I can count troubleshooting problems when there was no one else to call.
That journey inspired me to create Looped In Automation—a place where I can share what I’ve learned so you don’t have to struggle alone. Whether you’re stuck on tricky programming or looking for ways to make your job run smoother, my goal is to give you bite-sized, practical insights to help you navigate this trade with confidence.
